Our team then outlines and designs the size and shape of your CNC on your head to ensure that your CNC fits you and your unique needs perfectly. We then use a 3D scanner to capture the exact contour of your head and scalp, ensuring a perfect fit between your scalp and your CNC once attached. The measurements are then sent to CRLAB headquarters in Bologna, Italy where 3D printing technology uses your measurements to create a 3D mold of your head shape. The mold is then used to create the base of the CNC Hair System. This technology is simply unmatched and provides a level of security, comfort, and natural appearance that has no comparison.

The options are far more limited than they are for people with slightly wavy or straight hair. We often must chemically perm toppers and wigs to create wavy or curly hair. However, this is not the case with the CNC. The hair used in the CNC Hair System is raw virgin hair that goes straight from a ponytail into the CNC. This means that the hair will have natural curl and will never be chemically permed. We send a hair sample and photos of your natural curl pattern to the factory and CRLAB uses this information to choose natural curly hair for your CNC that matches your growing hair.

We will create a plan based on your unique situation, since hair loss from trichotillomania can be so different from person to person. Possibly. Some health insurance companies do provide coverage for wigs, toppers, and the CNC Hair System. Every insurance is different. We can provide you with detailed instructions for contacting your insurance to see what type of coverage might be available to you. If your insurance does provide coverage – our studio will still be considered an out of network provider because we do not work directly with health insurance companies. This means that you will pay us directly for your new hair and then submit your receipt and invoice to your health insurance company for reimbursement.
